My name is Cathy Joy and I love serving God in the Children's Ministry. Children are such a blessing from God and teaching them about His promises and grace to them is a true privilege.
It is our goal to serve and support the families and their children at FBC and our Coronado community with curriculum that focuses on God's Word and what it means to be a Christ follower. We want to see each child know and live out God's purpose and plan for their lives. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. (NIV) That is our purpose.
I am also a 1st grade teacher in El Cajon. I have taught for 28 years in both public and private and I enjoy working with the "little people." In my spare time I love hanging out with my husband Tom, of 29 years, and sons Dillon (18) and Jack (16). I enjoy biking, kayaking, puzzles, and books.
